Psychology for the Body
Providing Scientific Solutions to
Reduce Healthcare Worker Burnout and Improve the Patient Experience

Our Mission

To help healthcare organizations and clinicians improve outcomes and achieve financial success by reducing clinician burnout and optimizing the patient experience.

Why We Are Unique

We provide innovative education, consulting, and coaching for healthcare clinicians and organizations. We also provide live and on-demand approved continuing education for physical therapists and occupational therapists including courses on leadership, EQ, burnout, patient experience, motivation, and ethics for physical and occupational therapists.

Interactive Workshops for Healthcare Organizations

The 2 factors that have the greatest impact on both clinical and financial outcomes for healthcare organizations are clinician burnout and patient experience. High clinician burnout leads to increased employee turnover rates causing organizations to lose money by having to find and train new staff. Poor patient experience results in fewer referrals and a lower census leading to lower revenue.

We at Psychology for the Body can help you improve clinical outcomes and revenue by training and coaching your leadership team and clinical staff on unique strategies to reduce clinician burnout, improve emotional intelligence and communication, and improve the patient experience.

Burnout Prevention Workshop

The Burnout Prevention Workshop is a 2-hour workshop designed to teach administrators and clinicians psychology-based techniques to reduce clinician burnout. The 3 aspects of the Burnout Prevention Workshop include: the causes of clinician burnout, the signs of clinician burnout, and reducing rehab burnout for administrators and clinicians. The 2-hour live workshop is interactive and thought provoking helping identify clinicians that are burnt out and offering solutions to combat burnout.

EQ and Leadership Workshop

The Emotional Intelligence and Leadership Workshop is a 2-hour interactive course that provides healthcare administrators and clinicians insight into emotional intelligence and how it can be utilized to improve both organizational culture and patient care. The 3 parts of the workshop include emotional intelligence, leadership, and communication. The workshop offers many reflective activities to allow participants an opportunity to create a leadership action plan.

Patient Experience Workshop

The Patient Experience Workshop is a 2-hour interactive workshop that teaches clinicians and organizations how to use social psychology to optimize the patient experience. The 3 elements of the patient experience workshop are: improving empathy skills, social psychology, and organizational strategies to improve the patient experience. The 2-hour workshop offers concrete technique to better engage patients and optimize the patient experience.

Below are the healthcare organizations we have partnered with in providing workshops and consulting:
