This 2.5 hour CEU webinar discusses ethics for physical and occupational therapists. It takes a psychological approach to ethical practice using an intuition first and reasoning second methodology to resolve ethical dilemmas. This strategy is unique in that it leads to a multitude of valid perspectives within gray areas of ethics. This course fulfills the physical therapy ethics requirement in NJ. In it we educate clinicians how to apply research based strategies founded in social psychology to optimize the patient experience. This 1 hour CEU webinar focuses on burnout prevention for physical and occupational therapists. Burnout is a huge concern within physical and occupational therapy leading to higher turnover rates and compromised patient care. We offer psychological technique to help reduce burnout amongst PTs/OTs.
This 1 hour CEU webinar emphasizes the need to utilize motivational techniques to improve patient adherence rates to HEPs. Research has demonstrated that patients do not adhere to their HEPs. We must therefore expand our professional toolbox to include motivational strategies to improve adherence rates.
This 1 hour CEU webinar speaks about leadership development for physical and occupational therapists. Leadership is necessary as physical and occupational therapy continue to evolve. In this course, we explore how the DISC Assessment can be utilized to develop leadership skills.

Ari Ginsberg, PT, DPT, MSIOP

Ari Ginsberg is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and has a Master's of Science degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. He founded Psychology for the Body on the principle that bedside manner is not innate, but is a teachable and learned skill. He then expanded CEU course offerings to address many other psychology focused topics. Ari is a passionate and dynamic educator and coach on a mission to empower his students and clients to think independently and out of the box.

Q: Are your courses approved for continuing education credit?

A: Yes, all of the webinars are AOTA approved and approved by the NY Board of Physical Therapy. Many courses are approved by the NJ Board of PT and are approved Ohio physical therapy courses. Most courses are eligible for CEU credit in other states either because of either prior approval by a state board of PT or a chapter of the APTA.

Q: Are your courses just for physical and occupational therapists?

A: No, currently CEU approval is limited to physical and occupational therapists, but the information is relevant to all healthcare clinicians.

Q: Does your ethics course fulfill the NJ Board of PT ethics requirements, or the ethics requirements for physical therapists in other states?

A: Yes, if you are searching for ethics, physical therapists, NJ, you have come to the right place. Our ethics course fulfills the NJ Board of PT’s 2.5 hour requirement. Other state boards of PT including Utah and South Carolina also have ethics requirements which can be fulfilled through the ethics course.

Q: Are your continuing education courses in-person or virtual?

A: All courses are offered through a virtual online platform. Live webinars count as live CEUs in NJ and all other states. Courses are offered in person and at discounted rates for large groups.
